Archives for category: Giveaways

I recently won Kitty Hawk and the Curse of the Yukon Gold from Mymcbook’s blog giveaway. I am truly excited about this as it is 1.) aviation, 2.) gold, 3.) a female, and 4.) a red-head. WOOOhoooo!

This makes me want to learn more about how to do giveaways. Not that I could determine what was relevant to the miss-mash here … SO much fun!

From Jamie at Sweet Bits I’ve just learned about this giveaway from Chronicle books. It’s based on the concept of the fashion hauls posted across youtube and blogs.

And all I have to do is post this list of books printed by Chronicle that I’d like to win!
You can win, too, just by commenting on this post. (If you blog about the giveaway, how ’bout giving me a heads-up so I can comment on your post, k?)

I won a Faith Box from Angela on the Good Morning Girls blog. She and her husband graciously gave each of us who entered the giveaway a box of our own.

I honestly don’t know the entire concept. I read about it here and have thought on how I would use it. And for whom I would use this particular one. With more than one child, I am purchasing more. I am praying about the opportunity to provide for more than my family as well. Perhaps for nieces and nephews… What a beautiful beginning. Thank you, Buddy and Angela. Thank you. I am overwhelmed by the gift y’all are sharing as much as if not more than the opportunity I have to share.

In the meantime, know that I am very excited and very honored to have a specific, intentional way to help guide our children through their faith journeys.  I’ll share photos as I learn more and walk through it myself.

Carolyn will! Because she will be munching on a package of Gorilla Grains.  Congratulations, Carolyn! Contact me and I’ll get granola headed to you!

THANK YOU to Gorilla Grains for sharing the best granola on Earth!

Check out another SpeedAway next week…

I feel like giving something away. So I am going to give away one of my favorite things EVER.

GORILLA GRAINS

Eat Strong. Swing Long.

Gourmet Granola, 100% Organic Oats

My first mistake, I married a chef.  Over 20 years ago. Arizona farm girl meets Detroit chef.  What was I thinking? Seriously, I was raised in a farming family that took vitamins, blended protein shakes out of raw eggs and powdered milk, and exercised back in the ‘60’s.  My husband, Steve, always said he would rather go without food than eat something that didn’t taste good.

I began a quest to come up with a granola that Steve would eat that tasted good.  Well, 14 years passed and Steve’s comments advanced from, “Tastes like sawdust,” to “I would rather eat the paper bag.”

Undaunted, I pressed on.  After years of refinements, he said, “Now that’s good.  I could eat it every day.”  And he does.

Friends and family that try it also love it.  Steve says, “The last bite tastes as good as the first bite.”

Eat strong. Swing long,

Can you believe I won TWO blog giveaways recently?!? I cannot. I do not win things. I have to work hard and harder and hardest and still come out on the bottom. Know what I mean? I don’t enter every blog giveaway I see. But I do enter some. I’d like to have more here and have a few sponsors in tow, but can’t determine if it’s worth it yet… still thinking…any thoughts?

Book Review here at chicklitisnotdead

First, I won a copy of Belinda Carlisle’s autobiography Lips Unsealed from Chick Lit is Not Dead. I did! I haven’t read the book…yet. But I will, and when I do, I’ll share what I think. I have no problems sharing what I think. Chick Lit is Not Dead is a fun site for light reading recommendations in every subcategory of the chick lit genre.

Then, I won Audrey Assad’s debut CD The House You’re Building from We are THAT family. I am stoked about the CD.

Listen to Audrey HERE

Cannot wait to get it in my hands, on the iTouch and then run around the house with new music in one ear for a few days. I am not kidding. It’s been a long while since I’ve been so excited about music and I am ready for it. Bring it ON! You can visit the link above and hear excerpts of her songs through iTunes. You will not be disappointed. Check out We are THAT Family, too. The most recent post is a TRIP!

And visit blogs even AFTER you sign up for a giveaway… They like to know you want them for more than their freebies.

Mountain Home Quilts is giving away a fat quarter of some precious Autumn patterns. The giveaway ends October 15th so that the winner can enjoy the patterns with the season. Head on over and visit!

And acting on TODAY!

An Audrey Assad CD from We are THAT family. I’ve previewed every track and wow! It’s my style of music and pleasant to hear with positive messages beyond having what we’ll never get. Hurry over there now because the giveaway ends tomorrow!

Toriska Bags & Crafts on etsy is having a Grand Opening Giveaway: A Clutch Wallet of your choice. And I want to win! You’ve only got until tomorrow to compete with me.

Peter Rabbit Organics are the giveaway at 2 Boys + 1 Girl = One Crazy Mom. And to get these fruit pouches, you only have to respond  by Sunday. SO you’ve got time to forget and increase my chances! 🙂

And please. Someone tell me how I’ve missed this one for so long? The blog is way busy for me, but I no less do check in from time to time.  Dear Crissy has a mega-Giveaway thing going on! I mean MEGA. As in Calphalon, Scenty, Chantal, Cuisinart, Mikasa, and a bunch more. NO KIDDING! GO.RIGHT.NOW. Ending dates and times vary so pay close attention. You just won’t believe it. I mean it. You won’t.

And remember, if you ever win anything from a giveaway I link to, come back and tell me! Last week, I won my first blog giveaway… a copy of Lips Unsealed, Belinda Carlisle’s autobiography from Chick Lit Is Not Dead. I was SO shocked when I received the email, that I went to the site to be sure I was not getting scammed! HA!

But a note about giveaways… not all blogs will contact you directly. Most will expect you to follow up to see you’ve won and it’s up to YOU to respond to them… so keep track of what you’re doing!
